This is a regression from 4.15 as it is unreproducible on a binary build in //UE4/Release-4.15 @ 3416026. Both my 4.15. and 4.16 versions were obtained from the EGL.

The more the higher the speed the user can reach the more pronounced this becomes.

I was able to PIE - Viewport, accelerate to top speed, shift + F1, pause, eject, and then move the camera to observe the separation as well. I'm attaching a photo from that. It isn't as pronounced due to my speed dying trying to pause.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Open VehicleGame sample in the editor.
  2. Accelerate and keep accelerating after start countdown concludes.

The rear tires separate from the vehicle's axel and drift towards the user.
