When Blurring a Texture using Mip Gen Settings and setting the LOD Bias or Maximum Texture Size, the blur gets applied to the base Mip Level 0.
This behavior is contrary to how it behaves when blurring the Imported 4k resolution texture. It maintains the Mip Level 0 and blurs lower resolution mips.
The licensee would like to have the LOD Bias and Maximum Texture Size maintain the Mip Level 0 quality (i.e. avoid being blurred) and blur the lower resolution mip levels.
1. Import attached 4k texture.
2. Open Texture Editor by double-clicking the texture.
3. Set the Maximum Texture Size to 2048 or Set LOD Bias to 1
4. Under Mip Gen Settings set it to Blur 5
Outcome The Mip Level 0 becomes blurred which is inconsistent compared to when you blur the originally imported 4k resolution texture.
Expected The behavior should be identical to when you Blur the imported resolution.
