Description

External textures currently only support pixel shaders, presumably because some platforms, such as Android only have pixel shader support. On other platforms this causes a regression though: For example, setups using media textures in vertex or domain shaders no longer work. We should implement support on the other platforms.

This has come up several times on AnswerHub/UDN now.
