Description

Adding a reroute node in the material editor between a texture object and a material function breaks the link and the texture object is no longer applied.
Adding a reroute node into a spline that does not connect to a material function doesn't seem to break the link.
I tested and confirmed this occurs in 4.17 and 4.18.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a new Material Function (screen shot of the one used in test attached)
  2. Create a new Material with Texture Object hooked up to the new Material Function (screen shot of material created in test is attached)
  3. Add Reroute Node in spline connecting Texture Object to Material Function
    Result: Link breaks, Texture Object no longer applied to Material in Editor viewport.
    Expected: Reroute Node will not break link in spline it is added to
