The right eye of the HMD freezes when looking at an object that has been selected in VR Mode with Temporal Upsampling on. Happens with both Vive and Oculus. I did not see this when playing in VR.

I also noticed that while I selected an object and moved it, I only got a highlight around the object in one eye.

This feature was not in 4.18.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Open any project
  2. Enable Temporal Upsampling (Project Settings > Rendering)
  3. Create a new VR Basic level
  4. Enter VR Mode
  5. Select an object and look at it (do not hold onto the object once selected)
