Description

In the editor, vertex information can be painted on static meshes that are part of a blueprint.
When testing by playing in “Selected Viewport” the painted vertex information is correctly saved and displayed.

When launching the game through “Standalone Game” this vertex color information is lost.
Information painted on a standard static mesh is not lost, only meshes that are part of a blueprint.

Versions tested (issue occurs in all versions):
4.19.2 - CL 4033788
4.20.2 - CL 4302132

Steps to Reproduce
  • Create a blueprint that contains a static mesh component
  • Create and apply material that uses Vertex Color as Base Color to static mesh
  • Bring newly created blueprint into scene
  • Paint vertex color information
  • Launch game as “Standalone Game”

Result: The vertex information painted onto the mesh as will be lost in “Standalone Game.” This information is not lost when launching the game through “Selected Viewport.”

Expected: The information painted should not be lost in Standalone.
