Description

Image sequences do not match render settings when set to Custom Render Passes output format. This issue is directly related to the Custom Render Passes Image Output Format. This does not reproduce when setting the Image Output Format to any format of Image Sequence.

The resolution of any format that is rendered is always one step lower than what is set in the render settings. For example, setting resolution to 1280 x 720 renders the frames in 640 x 360, settings the resolution to 640 x 320 renders in 320 x 240.

It appears this issue is related to having high resolution monitors. Reproduced on two iMacs with a resolution of 5120 x 2880.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open QAGame into UE4Editor
  2. Open the TM-TrackEvaluation level (Content > Sequencer > TrackEvaluation)
  3. In the Main Editor Toolbar select Cinematics > TrackEvaluation_Master
  4. In the Sequencer Toolbar select the Movie Clapboard button
  5. Set the following Render Movie Settings:
    • Output Format = Custom Render Passes
    • Resolution = 1280 x 720 (16:9)
  6. Select the Capture Movie button
  7. Navigate to the QAGame/Saved/VideoCaptures folder

Results: The resolution of the rendered sequence frames are 640 x 320, instead of 1280 x 720.
