Description

The referenced documentation does not state anywhere about collision being affected by animation sharing nor is the user expecting it to be affected. Even when the Collision Preset is overridden to BlockAll on the Skeletal Mesh.

This was reported and tested in 4.22.2 (CL-6574378) and reproduced in 4.23 (CL-6909519)

Steps to Reproduce

This repro uses the following doc for setup: https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/Engine/Animation/AnimationSharing/index.html

  1. Open the UE4 Editor and create a Blank or Third Person Project
  2. Follow the guidelines in the referenced documentation using either the Third Person Character or the TutorialTPP
  3. After everything is setup, drag the BP referencing the Skeletal Meshes into the map and walk into them.

Results: Before an actor is registered with the sharing manager, it's skeletal mesh can having collision. However, after registering the collision gets removed from the mesh and can't be enabled.

Expected: Collision would not be affected by animation sharing.
