Description

Collision flipped when welding a skeletal mesh to a static mesh.

 

Welding Skeletal mesh as parent actor does not cause collision to flip.

Showflag.Collision 1 shows correct collision. (However pxvis collision is used as collider)

Enabling Simulate physics on Static Mesh after attachment shows correct collision. (But Skeletal Mesh Collision does not activate)

Confirmed in 4.24 MAIN @ CL 8681428

Steps to Reproduce

Sample project attached. (Pictured)

  1. Create and assign a Physics Asset to a Skeletal Mesh  (VR Hand Shown, also tested with DefaultSkeletalMesh from EngineContent)
  2. Attach Skeletal Mesh Actor to a Static Mesh that is Simulating physics (Enable 'Weld Simulated Bodies'
  3. PIE and Visualize collisions (pxvis collision)
