Editor stalls on Mac after key up, mouse up

UDN user reported a performance hit on Mac with the latest Hotfix release when the user is interacting with the editor either through keyboard or mouse input.

This performance hit is noticeable when rapidly typing or clicking in and around the editor - [Link Removed]

This does not occur in binary 4.23.1
This also occurs in //UE4/Release-4.24 10570792, release 4.24.0 CL

1. Open any project
2. Press ~ and enter stat fps
3. Select the Content browser search bar and type rapidly OR click rapidly in the viewport OR move the viewport camera rapidly

Results: Interacting with the editor through either keyboard or mouse will cause a dip in FPS. Rapidly interacting will tank the performance.
