While in the Editor with a Mac the user can press either Cmd+W or Cmd+Q to exit. The user on AnswerHub is reporting that the Cmd+W should close an active window or tab, where as the Cmd+Q keybinding should close the editor itself.
I tested the Cmd+W with a Blueprint open and was able to confirm it does in fact function the same as the Cmd+Q shortcut. They both prompt to save before exiting and close the entire editor.
Expected is Cmd+Q closes the Editor while Cmd+W closes any active and open windows.
1. Open any 4.7 project on a Mac
2. Press Cmd+W and observe editor closing.
3. Open any 4.7 project on a Mac
4. Press Cmd+Q and observe editor closing.
