1. Call two cubes, etc., and assign a material instance that overrides the masked setting to one and a translucent material to the other.
2. Merge actors and enable Volumetric Translucent Shadow. You can see that the translucent shadow of the cube to which the translucent material is assigned does not appear.

3. Uncheck Blend Mode Override for Material Instances. You can see that the translucent shadow of the cube to which the translucent material is assigned appears.
