Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a Basic level from File->New Level...
  2. Create a translucency material with 0.9 for both base color and opacity. (It would be better to add a opaque sphere for comparison with same base color)
  3. Add a sphere to the scene and set it to movable, assign the material to it.
  4. Observe the brightness of the sphere by toggling the mobile preview and pc view mode.

There was PR in 2018 trying to fix this issue https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/pull/5044
