[Waveform Editor] - Waveform Editor has noticeable latency with larger files

I've noticed as I've been working with the Wave Form Editor, that it works fairly well for smaller files, but on longer assets there can be some pretty noticeable latency when adding and adjusting transforms. See video and trace attached:

1) Launch AudioQA
2) In the Content Browser, open any larger Sound Wave in the Wave Editor by right-clicking on it's thumbnail and selecting Edit Waveform (ex. Music_lopp_01_stereo)

Expected Result:
There is no or minimal latency using the tool

Actual Result:
There is a fair amount of latency
