There is an issue where Static meshes in a particle system are not affected by decals, It is unsure if this is intentional behavior or not. This issue does not appear to be a regression


Versions Tested:

4.17.2 - CL: 3658906

4.18.2 - CL: 3794801

4.19.0 - CL: 3776583

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a new project (no template or starter content needed)
  2. Create a new Material and add a 3 vector to the material event graph
  3. Connect the 3 vector to the emissive color
  4. Change the Material domain to Deferred Decal > Set the blend mode to translucent
  5. Add a Decal to the level and assign the material to it
  6. Create a new particle system and set its emitter data to mesh
  7. Add the particle system to the level and ensure it overlaps with the decal
    Result: The mesh does not take on the decal data
    Expected Result: The meshes made by the particle system take on the decal data
