Description

The dynamic shadow distance movable light setting is only working for values below 20000 on translucent materials. The shadow cast on the translucent material will fade out long before the opaque material.

 

Found in 4.18 CL# 3832480, 4.19 CL# 4033788, 4.21 CL#4101872

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open Attached project
  2. Click Play
  3. Position the camera where you can see both translucent and opaque materials
  4. Use the "-" key to zoom out until the distance at the top right is about 20000 units
  5. Exit Play
  6. Select the directional light labeled "Light Source"
  7. In the directional lights details set the "Dynamic Shadow Distance Movable Light" setting to 40000
  8. Repeat Steps 3&4

Expected:
The shadows cast on both materials should fade out at the same distance that is set under the light sources Details>Cascaded Shadow Maps>Dynamic Shadow Distance Movable Light

Results:
The shadow on the translucent material fades out below the 20000 mark while the opaque material will hold the shadow till the set distance
