With a Bokeh DOF setup that essentially places the Near Transition Region into a Negative Space (or non-existence) the FPS drops dramatically from out of focus region to in focus region.

Out of Focal Region:

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open a Blank Project with No Starter Content
  2. Add an Unbound Post Process Volume to the level
  3. In the Depth of Field Settings check true and change the following:
  • Method = BokehDOF
  • Focal Distance = 0
  • Focal Region = 500
  • Scale = 1
  1. Turn on Stat.FPS
  2. Move Camera close to platform in Focal Region

RESULTS: FPS drops massively as you move into the Focal Region going from approx. 35FPS in Out of Focus Region to below 15FPS in Focal Region

EXPECTED: No discernible loss of FPS moving in and out Focal Region
